"The 1827 House was our 4th Airbnb bookings for our 2022 summer trip to the States. Yet it was the best in every aspect (concurred by my husband and our 17-year-old son). On the 4th night of our stay, we decided to extend and have another 5 nights stay at this House. We simply did not want to check out and we cannot find another better Airbnb listing! A big thank you to Rich and Nicky for your serious attention to every detail of the House, a real gem, making our stay unforgettable for the rest of our lives." - Sarah June 2022

"Awesome house for two families with kids. The house is really unique. The updates they have made to make it modern while still feeling historic are awesome.

Rich and Nicky were super hosts. Their communication was perfect, they have a whole handbook answering house questions, they left very thoughtful amenities to make it a comfortable stay, and the house was clean and well-equipped.

Thank you!" -Julie 2022

"For those of you that see this listing open. Take it! Your will not be disappointed.

Rich and Nicky have taken the time to make an old 1800's home updated into the 21st century. It's a mix of old-world construction with new modern amenities' and they have nailed it!

The bed is clean and comfortable. The home is well decorated and VERY COMFORTABLE. Walking distance to a nice dinner venue, or maybe you stay in and cook on a fully furnished kitchen. They really have thought of everything. We really appreciated the hosts time and attention with check-in and parking. Made it seamless."

"We loved where we stayed! There were 13 of us that ended up going, all family and all adults. The majority skied at Mount Snow on Saturday and the location couldn’t have been better.

There’s not much of a downtown to Dover, but Wilmington was close by and very quaint for those that didn’t ski and we had a lovely time, relaxing and being together in the evenings.

Space was perfect as I cooked dinner for all on Saturday night and then we played games and just relaxed afterwards. Everyone was comfortable in their space with plenty of room to spread out.

Rich and Nicky were very accommodating, and attentive to questions that I had, and gave us some great feedback as to where to go locally for food, etc.… If you’re looking for a place to stay in the area definitely check out the 1827 house!!
